No-Nonsense Leeds Mini-Meet

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Myself and Crocidolite will be giving two fingers to the Manc (y) meeters and meeting in Leeds one weekend. You are welcome to join us.

I propose either the 12th or the 26th of August. Once a date is decided, no whinging please, as neither myself nor Crocidolite give a crap if you're gardening that day or if you can only make it if it's in Norwich, or if you can only make the third Thursday of every month.

All sensible suggestions regarding time and location will be considered.

That sounds like a fantastic idea.

In regard to location, somewhere close to the station and easy to find would be suitable for me as I don't know Leeds.

EDIT: After discussion with him indoors, the 26th would probably be better for us.

I've got friends visiting on the 26th of August.

I could *try* and get the 12th off work.

Leeds train station is always worth a visit as it is generally full of amusing people, so someone would be free to pick up any nervous Leeds-ers if necessary :p

Haha, Leeds station looks HUGE from inside the train!

I used to go through Leeds on my way to York and it looks scarrryyy

Leeds is a bit too far for me, but I'll try.

Both of those dates work if I can manage the distance, however ;)

The Kaffbus may be going if I can figure out how dangerous her new noise is, and/or find the money to get her fixed.

    Ding ding!

P.s. this offer is only available to people living in a very specific route into the city.

    Fantastic :D

I have never visited Leeds before. Which is really bad as I live fairly close.

You may want to bring your bulletproof vest.

Yes, you *do* live quite an unmanageable distance from Leeds. I'm surprised you are even considering the long, difficult journey :p

It's comparitively small for a major city station.

    Big on weirdos though

Actually, I'll get the bus and race you into the city centre ;)

    You'd probably win :(

I'm off to sleep now. No whinging in my absence, please.

    Nope.

I am in Leeds the 4th, but that is whingeing so I shall be silent.

Gah. I've just realised I definitely can't make the 12th. I forgot that my friend is getting married that date. How inconsiderate :p

    Make a sensible alternative suggestion.

I can't do the 19th, and on reflection, probably not the 12th/13th either, Andy can't do the first weekend in August. We are open to suggestions other than these.

First weekend in September is a starter, so long as its not the Saturday, which narrows things down.

With warning I can do most weekends after August- I just need the warning to get the cheapo tickets on the train.

Can't do any Saturdays in August. Holidays are full at work.
