Not in my case. Formation first, players second.

THerefore Gerrard gets the place and Lampard sits on the bench. We need to have a defensive midfield place and neither of those does can fill that role well enough. THey don't play well together and so I'd leave one out. Gerrard have proven himself to be much more of a big game player IMHO.

I agree with most of that except for the Rooney bit. I think it's his agression that makes him such a good player.
