    :yum:

Don't feel guilty, life wouldn't be worth living if you couldn't indulge in pure fat from time to time. I could fancy some fried bread now... how annoying that my tea's already in the oven.

    I know!

Someone was talking about fried bread in work and then I got a craving. I made some as soon as I got home. I had two whole pieces. I'm a right greedy cow! Haha.

You just put a bit of oil in a frying pan and pop the bread in. Really easy and really tasty :yum:

I can't believe you have never heard of fried bread. It must be a english thing. Its on our english breakfasts!

I never eat anything less that a foot of subway, because it's the 12 inches that's fully satisfying.

I also ate an entire family size deep fill puff pastry steak pie for lunch.

So the rest of you can hush.

I just know if I only have 6inches I'll be hungry again in about 2 minutes time. if I have a footlong and a cookie then I'll be alright for the afternoon.

Ever had french toast? I'm not sure of any other name :(
Its similar, but instead of oil, you take like 2 eggs and beat it, put some milk, vanilla extract, cinamon and nutmeg, then dip the bread in, then put it on the pan. No oil or butter or anything so you can pretend its healthy ;) Topped with maple syrup :yum:
I think I'll make some this weekend for breakfast...

fried bread is the food of the gods!
to get it perfect ...put quite a bit of oil/fat in the pan ...enough to float the bread on.
wait till it just starts to smoke and then float your loaf.
comes out light golden and crispy on the outside soft in the middle.

Fried bread is alright. French toast is much tastier.

I hope you don't put the cinnamon or nutmeg in if your going to eat it with ketchup, that sounds like it could be disastrious :p

Lol. I don't put that much oil in.

I only put a few tablespoons in!

Mine was still crispy on the outside and soft in the middle!

Fried bread is best when you fry it in the pan straight after you've fried the bacon. :yum:

Never heard of Bolognese, though google tells me its a dog...
But spagetti minus dog sounds nice.

I hate these food threads. Gets me so hungry. :(
