I have implanon- the contraceptive implant. It can alter your periods, but depends, as every woman is different- some don't have a period at all, some have a period all the time, some have irregular periods, and others don't have their's changed, it honestly depends on the individual woman.

Can it effect your sex drive?

they advise you not to have sex at all in that 1st week after havin it put in.. my periods stopped all together

and if anything my sex drive increased, my poor boyfriend (at the time) thought he was in heaven cos before i had quite a low sex drive. we went from havin sex twice a week to havin it twice everyday!
