Think Tank: War on terror flawed

Well, I am sure we needed a report to tell us this.
The concentration on the war on terror is increasing the risk of terrorist attacks and distracting governments from greater threats, a British think tank has warned.

The independent Oxford Research Group said the most likely causes of future conflicts are climate change, competition over resources, social and economic marginalisation and increased militarisation.

"The war on terror is a dangerous diversion and prevents the international community from responding effectively to the most likely causes of future conflict," the report Global Responses to Global Threats: Sustainable Security for the 21st Century said.

Sigh. ANYONE with half a braincell could have told them this.

Yep, but they needed a British "think tank" to figure it out...

No, from the very start the plethora of US "Neocon" think tanks which concocted the agenda currently being pursued in the first (chiefly the PNAC) intended the "WoT" to be nothing more than a smokescreen, readily swallowed (as repeatedly demonstrated herein by a number of regular shills) by an essentially non-investigatory and mentally complacent public.

By presenting the myth of a nebulous conflated boogeyman "enemy" (aka MoK's patented "war of ideologies") the attention is diverted from what is nothing more than an all out, very much one-sided (i.e. western corporate-backed hegemonic push) war of unilateral, and quite illegal, conquest for resource control in the Arab crescent.

All this is quite specifically and pointedly spelled out in Brzezinski's book, The Grand Chessboard, which predated the much required seminal 911 event by several years. The laugh is that those, like Brzezinski, who share in the aspirations of American empire expansion, considered themselves so beyond accountability they had no problem spelling it all out. Time has proven them correct in their ability to gull just sufficient a majority to enable them carte blanche with impunity.

The whole thing is a crock and will continue to be so so long as people refuse to open their eyes and review the trustworthiness of the sources (governmental and collusionist corporate media) from whence this new "Cold War" paradigm obtained both conception and momentum without a shred of concrete evidence ever presented.

Problem is, its ingrained in the public psyche so deeply in such a short time that most just will not allow themselves to believe it could be entirely false. So much the greater shame upon us all, else perhaps the real criminals from day one would no longer be in power, but standing rightfully chained in a docket in The Hague where they and their entire administrations belong.

No such thing as a war on 'terror' anyway.

    All bollocks.

But he's a legend! Sorry... had to.

But let's be honest. Who do you think is WRONG in Iraq? Those who invaded, illegally, on flase pretences - or the people trying to defend their homeland? Large amounts of insurgents there have said they are NOT connected to Al-Qaeda - they are just fed up with the shit they have had to put up with since the US led invasion. So they have decided to fight the US.

And come on - if you had to live there - and had before the invasion lived, whislt not a free life - a stable one - and you had been promised so much by the US at the start - wouldn't you be a bit hacked off?

Especially after so many promised withdrawls that came to nothing.
