    It's not, depending on the gender of the doctor you are talking about the word in front change from masculin to feminin... un docteur, une docteur...

    also there might be some I don't know, cos I suck at french...

    The only one I know that doesn't have both is "sage femme" whic is purely feminin...

    Also there is a grammatical rules that say, I think whe you use verb, that the masculin win over the feminin...

    So I guess it is sexist to in fact...

    As I say I suck in french, my english is better than my french...

    I'm cheating, that was an example from one of my textbooks about gender in language, can't remember which one. My French is awful, my C grade at GCSE left me long ago!
