Why can't I get into any sites hosted by tripod.com ???
Every time I try I get "Page Cannot Be Displayed" and it's doin' ma' nut!!!
My website is on Tripod, so is my m8s and I can't get on either of them or the main site to update my site <IMG alt="image" SRC="mad.gif" border="0">
Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it ?? as it seems to only be my computer it's not working on.

only thing i can think of is that TRIPOD IS SHIT.

Use MSN communities or Yahoo Geocities. Much more reliable.

    *hysterical laughter*

they dont allow offsite linking/remote loading, which makes them pretty crappy for what i want it for. most ISP's give you free space. what's wrong with that? no popup ads, allows offsite linking... only prob is, the urls can be a bit pants <IMG alt="image" SRC="tongue.gif" border="0">

better than having a URL featuring geocities, msn, cjb.net, aol, tripod, angelfire and all those though.

can't speak for everyone, but if someone wanted me to visit a website hosted by one of the above, i wouldn't even bother. unless i had a ridiculously-slow-loading-page-probably-created-by-a-five -year-old-with-an-unusual-fascination-with-bright-colours-and -flashing-text-and-marquees-and-piss-poor-html-skills fetish. and i also liked pop-up ads, especially those java ones that sometimes crash your browser or if you're unlucky just slow your computer down to a crawl.

speaking of "you're", i bet the geocities/msn/aol/tripod would use thise word repeatedly on their shoddy little site, but spell it "your", just for a laugh. and why do it in normal sized text when you can make it HUUUUGE with STUPID FONTS that should NEVER BE USED ON A WEBSITE EVER!

AND WHY NOT HAVE A MIDI PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND? AND ANIMATED GIFS OF LITTLE STARFISH AND THINGS. AND WHY NOT JUST CRAM PAGES WITH AS MANY PICTURES AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN, PREFERABLY OVERSIZED AND IN A FORMAT THAT DOESN'T SUIT THE IMAGE TYPE? LIKE WHY NOT JUST GO AHEAD AND USE A GIF FOR PHOTOS? DO WHAT YOU LIKE; I DON'T CARE. I WON'T BE VISITING YOUR SITE.

I can't really diagnose the problem unless you can describe to me what you get on your browser when you try to view a page on Tripod.

Are you getting an error message of any sort or what?
