I do wonder how this will be taken, as we are meant to go and plug thesite on other bbs- this should therefore be allowed?

you can't start a new issue, you can input your opinion onto ones allready written. to write an issue become a writer and then read the info in the writers section.

Regards

If you are a commercial concern (co.uk), rather than a not-for-profit website (.org), promoting yourself is not appropriate on our boards. This is clearly set out in the agreement that users sign up to before they start posting.

ok,
1/ .org dose not mean that you are "not for profit" any one can buy a .org
2/ We are currently looking into becoming a registered charity, when i have the time to fill in some forms.
3/ I plan to contact the OWNER of TheSite.org as we would like to work closly as we are based on the same lines, i'm trying to get a contact e-mail, so if you can supply me with that, i will be able to talk to him about what i have in mind?
4/ People seem to like RuAware so let them enjoy.

Indeedy, I have returned and when I saw the new look the first thing it reminded me of was that Bitesize revision site thing but its still groovy!

Where was I? Oh yes, the ruaware site. Lots of varied topics ready to be filled up with mindless ramblings..that's always good!

The layout is wierd and sometimes a bit tricky but I'm sure I'll get used to it! One major gripe is that I can't use this name on there! So you will all know me as Lost Prophet on there where I'm sure I'll drive you all insane

That's about it I guess. Keep on trucking!

I'd like to thank you all for you view on my site, and for all of you that have signed up! The site has more issues now and a couple more will be added by sat, so stop by and have a read. Don't forget one of the main aims is creditation for the writers, if you have liked the article you could rate it, you never know you might be helping someone get a job in the future

Its generally pretty simple to just go to the homepage of thesite.org and click the link marked 'About Us' which surprisingly perhaps is all about the people and organisation behind TheSite.org maybe you could discover where the link 'Contact info' leads to?

Sometimes, reading is faster and more effective than writing and posting.

1/ .org means organisation and that includes non-profit organisations and thats genuinely what those domains are supposed to be fore... thats why you get 'co' and 'com' being commercial or company and 'edu' being educational, 'ac' academic etc.

2/ If you have the forms to become a registered charity then you should fill them in, if you have time to surf here then you must have time to fill them in...

3/ Think about it simply, this site has a domain and therefore must have an email address following something like the domain, standard ones for all domain sites include something along the lines of 'Help', 'Info' and 'Sales' followed by the domain ie. [email protected] and also all sites have 'about us' links or 'contact' information... you'd never need to come to the discussion boards to find that out... thats just plugging!

4/ That doesn't mean we want people posting links to sites and advertising all day, that ruins the appeal of the website and makes it annoying. If you want to advertise then use the proper channels...
