I'm thinking about getting a 2K loan with Northern Rock as they seem to be about the best I've seen out of about half a dozen.

Is there anything I need to find out about before I go ahead with this? Has anyone ever gone with Northern Rock before?

Northern Rock are alright, but no great shakes. But for unsecured loans the only thing you should look at is how good the interest rate is.

koe, go to an independent financial advisor. We thought we'd got a great deal from the Rock, and then we got an even better one from the Coventry Building Society because of the financial advisor. FAs are also pretty good at chasing things through quickly, mostly because the twats spend every minute of their day harrassing the conveyancing solicitors.

Northern Rock is currently market's cheapest for anything over 1k @ 5.6%
