What classic tunes do you remember from the early 90's?

Stuff like Trip to Trumpton and Ebanezer Good enters my head. Or anything by Baby D.

Anyone else remember this sort shit.

The Shamen... bloody hell Skive that brings back memories...

Who else can I think of off the top of my head:

* 2 Unlimited
* Altern8
* Ultrasonic
* Charlie Lownoise & Mental Theo
* Evoke - Arms Of Loren
* Prodigy (First Album)
* Paul Elstak
* Haddaway (spelling?)

then there was that 'Open your mind' choon which I used to buzz my tits off to...

More mid-nineties this, but the tune that opened my eyes to a whole different world, Break & Enter by the Prodigy. And Josh Wink, Higher State.....

*claim to fame*

I was on Josh Wink's Higher State Re-mix for '96 video, I've had my face on MTV!!

classic tunes from the early 90's?!?! were there any?

i spose after the obligatory Nirvana (and the Pixies, didnt they release Doolittle in 1990?) i'll rack my brains for some

BUT... i cant stand the Stone Roses i have no idea why they were so popular. Same goes for Manic Street Preachers. Theyre just crap. Good guitar playing, but yet unbelievably crap.

Ok heres heres my pixx...

*Deeelite - 'Groove Is In The Heart'
*Nirvana - anything by them
*Madonna - 'Vogue' as much as i hate it its a classic track
*New Kids On The Block!
*alright stop! collaberate and listen! Vanilla Ice is back with a brand new invention! (laffs)
*most of the early Seattle grunge scene fuckin ruled... L7 (not from Seattle), Soundgarden, Melvins...
*Radiohead - 'Creep' why? because its genius on every level.

i'll add more later.

Mate this post was posted by me in the clubbing forum which is sadly no more. It was aimed at the early 90's dance music culture. Still some of those tunes you mentioned were quality.

Royaltrux, man, u have IMPECCABLE taste. Doolittle is the best album ever. Actually, i disagree about Stone Roses and Manics, but u have good taste. Ur on of the few cool Americans on here. And on of the few that ventures outside the Politics forum!

SKEE-BAP-BOP-BADOP-BOOP, I'M A SCATMAN!

Hehe, yeah, he rocked. He dies quite recently tho. I used to be a huge 2Unlimited fan! Tribal dance - loved that.

I don't know if this was only me, but a few months after scatman released his single there was this massive rumour that he had died, and we all went around trying to find someone to shock by telling them that the scatman was dead.

It just makes me laugh that since the early nineties any time i have heard his name mentioned it is because someone heard that he had died recently

I loved N-Trance 'Set me Free', new version is really good too

if in doubt-dance.

I can't believe no one put Urban Cookie Collective - The Key, The Secret. The video for it was on MCM non-stop (French MTV-type station - I was in Belgium in the early 90s)

Another one that I heard last week for the first time in ages was Robert Miles - Children.
