that's actually the right order... well done
I would also advise you to read some of the 'classics'. They didn't get that nickname for being shit. Books like 'To kill a mockingbird' 'Brighton Rock' 'Of Mice and Men''Animal Farm''A Clockwork Orange''A passage to India' - they are all greats.
stephen king - insomnia
marilyn mansons auto bio

Anything by Iain Banks (Fiction), or his other cunning alias Iain M Banks (Sci-fi), his novel "Against a Dark Background" is one of my all time favourite reads. As has already been posted Terry Pratchett is pretty damn funny and insightful, the Dune series for a classic sci-fi, anything by the authors Asimov, Heinlein, Niven, Pournelle or Barnes. For pure galaxy-rocking sci-fi try Peter F Hamilton's Night's Dawn Trilogy, also a fascinating look at the future of the human race. As you may be able to tell, I like my sci-fi..........

Nah, i don't really read that much cos i don't have time these days .. but it keeps your mind active and it's certainly better than reading The Sun <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">

this is pretty complicated but if you're into either history or Latin it gives a fantastic idea of how Rome worked, plus it's got a great storyling. it's the first of about four books.
Sharon Penman - The Sunne In Splendour, and Here Be Dragons
more historical reading. utterly fascinating, didn't want to put either book down!
Charlotte Moore - My Sister Victoria
doesn't fall into a category really. but it's terribly good. it's about two cousins. one's parents are killed in an aeroplane crash and they're brought up as sisters. the orphan one is mentally disturbed but it's not apparent until the very end of the book; it's a complete surprise. it's such a good book!
Marian Keyes - Last Chance Saloon
technically "rubbish" but absolutely brilliant! (John Grisham is also "rubbish" but I've read every one of his books, they're amazingly good!)
anything by Terry Pratchett because they're mostly satires which makes them hilarious reading.
Bill Bryson - Mother Tongue
about the English language. not at all like a textbook; it's really readable.
okay, that'll do for now <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/tongue.gif"> <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

Have you ever read any of the ones by Steven Saylor *~stellar~*? They're based on events from Roman times, we read The Venus Throw for AS level because it's based on the bit of Cicero we were doing, and it was pretty good.
I agree Elisa, they're classics and everyone should have read them, they're cool <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">
Oh, slip of the keyboard. Meant to post up Bridget Jones, but my novel's come up instead. Just out in paperback too!
Now how did that happen? Hmmm
