Thanks Turtle........yours is right up there too dude.
The first Foo album echoes with Nirvana-type riffs and hooks...but with much more melody and catchy lyrics by the genius known as Dave Grohl!! Bigger guitars than the third album. A great album by a great band!

Songs from an American Movie pt.1......a lot more acoustic than the 2nd, but in typical Everclear style...gotta love it!!

GFM is right...you would like the bends. Admittedly, Radiohead's recent offerings aren't quite on my fav lists either, but their earlier works rock!!

God, I love this top 5 thing: there's nothing more pleasurable than telling everyone else why your taste is better than theirs.
Here's a top 5 of slightly off beat things: there's not much point listing OK Computer, Nevermind, Blood On The Tracks, Odelay (Beck) and Ziggy Stardust (Bowie), which are 5 of my favourites but which everyone knows. Although I've done that anyway.
Still:

Magnetic Fields 69 Love Songs
Jeff Buckley Grace
Nick Cave No More Shall We Part
Moldy Peaches Moldy Peaches
Avalanches Since I Left You

GET THESE NOW!!! You wont regret it, whatever you're into, although moldy peaches take some getting used to.

Honorable Mention - Frampton Comes Alive

Apparently, I'm a little older than most of you. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">

LINKIN PARK IS THE BEST DEBUT OF ALL TIME? WHAT THE FAHK?!?!?!?! ARE YOU INSANE?

you guys SO realize that they were started by Lou Pearlmann, the same guy that created Nsync and The Backstreet Boys, right? The same songwriting team in Sweden that gave us 'Dancing Queen' are giving us 'One Step Closer'. Linkin Park are nothing more than a manufactured band, and a shite one at that.

The disenfranchised have finally been franchised, now there is no stopping Big Brother.
