I'm sure this has been done before *ducks* but I can't be bothered looking (and dragging it up would ensure my death ), and it stems off an LJ thread, so here we go - what are your top five absolute favourite songs?
(you can come back and change them any time!)
atm, mine would be:
1. Runaway - The Corrs
2. Madonna/some guy whose name I forget - American Pie
3. Shaggy "Angel"
4. Robbie Williams "She's the one"
5. Jennifer Lopez - Love Don't Cost A Thing
there's another song I'm trying to remember the name of (my memory always lets me down when I most need it!). and Geri Halliwell's "It's Raining Men" is cool too. aarrrgh, must stop, I know I said only five!
This is the first day of the rest of your life.

my prob is that I know the songs but can't remember what they're called (let alone the artist!)
mmmm, Robbie Williams "Angels" is gorgeous!

are they nu metal?
"I must find a truth that is true for me......the idea for which I can live or die."(Soren Kierkegaard)

Ok ok so I had 6. I'm sure I'll think of loads more. Thats just for now.
no not nu-metal. i only know a coupla songs of silverchair's, funnily enough "miss you love" is on now. im betting you wont like it but anthem for the year 2000 is maybe more your style, i havent heard it for months tho and i cant remember what its like really. louder than this one and i only know that one song by the goo goo dolls, i think theyre good... but again, its personal opinion. calvin's got the album unless im very much mistaken. as for silverchair - miss you love ... i suppose its a bit of a rock ballad. but they do other songs too that are minus the balladness
oh im so useless at classifying music!

No Doubt-can't pick one so i'll just go for all of them
Coldplay-Everythings Not Lost
Robbie Williams-No Regrets and i really like his new one too, Eternity
Matchbox 20-When You're Gone
hey tourette,
yeah dude. the goo goo dolls are very much power pop. the one song gfm put on her list is a syruppy ballad.
the uptempo tunes they do are definitely not thrashy. they've got guitars, but it's a polished radio friendly sounds. they sound a lot like third eye blind or matchbox twenty.
hope this helps.
Radiohead- Creep
Radiohead- Exit Music (for a film)
Travis- Flowers in the Window
Stone Roses- I am the Resurrection
REM- Man on the Moon
The only interesting answers are those which destroy the questions.
There are so many better Roses tunes than that!
I wanna be adored, Breaking into heaven, This is the one, Sally Cinnamon, Begging you....
