I always thought Rowan was a boys' name?
I went to school with a Rowan who was a girl, pronounced Row (as in have a row/fight) - Ann.

Abbie was the one and only girls name we agreed on, so we stuck with it from the start.

Sophie is nice though, Im sure Tweety was going to have called James Sophie if he'd of been a girl :chin:

it's hard to know without the surname. some names are a bit 'meh', and then you put it together with the surname and it just fits.

sometimes you love love love the name and then when you say the two together you're like 'oh dear me no'.

    Awwww, congratulations Mrs Miffy!

I quite like "bible" names. Paul, David, Daniel, Andrew, Joshua, Herrod, Tetragrammaton, that kind of deal...........

A child should never be saddled with a moniker like Chantelle or Destiny or any of the other naming horrors from around these parts. Small mercy they've not gone the way of the Beckhams or there would be armies of "Escort", "Peugot" or "Back of the Bowling Club".

    "Renault, yer tea's ready!!"

LOL. I have the kind of surname that'll go with just about anything, but I don't like weird names anyway. Unless you think Lola is weird.

I've never heard of anyone with those names. Some names are always in use, others aren't. You never know, we may have a resurgence of Mavis in twenty years.

I know, it irritates me something shocking. I really like those two names, but no way on God's earth are they usable now.
    You may have Aithne. ;)

    TY :hyper:

I actually don't think Renault would be such a bad name, you know. Renault Clio Smith. Great

My wee sisters are Brodie Alison and Heather Ailish. Brodie and Ailish are two of my fave names. After Kirsty of course! Not that I'd name my kid after me, it'd be confusing having two Kirstys in the house.
