    Best thing to do is read the medical notes at the end of the bed to help you keep up to date with your nanas care, as there will be a communication sheet in there.
    Probably not advisable for a student nurse to be encouraging a breach of patient confidentiality.

    As for MRSA (Or 'Mrs A'), you should know if your relative has it because you'll be asked to don an apron and gloves when visiting. And more than likely it will be written in large letters on the name board.

    there not the actual medical notes they are kept in the nurses office in seperate folders, all these have in are a communication sheet between nurses/doctors and patient/relatives and the OB's sheets and nutrition charts.

    Maybe in your trust but not in mine.

    We have a integrated care pathway, that contains all nursing information and this is kept at the patient's bedside.

    Yeah might just be our trust, each trust has their own way of doing things.
