erosion of the cervix?

today i went to a sexual health clinic just for a checkup and the nurse told me that i had a slight erosion on my cervix and that it was probably from being on the pill. she said it was nothing to worry about and i thought nothing of it but surely it doesn't sound good? i've only been on the pill for 10 months and don't want to erode my cervix anymore! has anyone ever had this mentioned to them before?
