Any ideas?

My boyfriend went to work on a cruise ship for a week. the sunday he was due home he called to say his boss needed him to stay but they were coming home. he said he was gettin of the following week in brazil. anyway that was meant to be sunday. monday night he called to say that the job had finished but he was stayin on as he wanted to see argentina (the next port) and he wanted to stay on there for as long as possible when i asked when he was coming home he said he didnt know. we had our troubles before he went but he sent me messages saying he didnt want to spilt up but jus felt pressured. then when i spoke to him last week he said he was missing me and wanted to come home and was looking forward to seeing me. then this week Ihe said he didnt want to come home as this was a once in a lifetime oppurtunity when i asked on the phone if he loved me and wanted to be with me he said he didnt know and that wed discuss it when he got back. i tired to talk tohim about it but he said he didnt want to discuss it and that he would when he returned...then he went im jus so confused why not ened it there n then and what this means
