Parachute jump for free with TheSite.org

Hi everyone,

You may have already heard that we’re starting to organise parachute jumps to raise funds for TheSite.org - we can’t begin to tell you how excited (if not a little nervous) we are. As well as giving you a chance to organise your own jumps for this worthy cause we’d also like to invite you to take part in our jump in February, and offer one of you a chance to jump for free.

Just to remind you, TheSite.org is owned and run by YouthNet, which is a registered charity. Like all other charities, we need to raise money to fund our projects and to make sure you guys can continue to use TheSite.org free of charge.

To take part in a jump, all you need to do is raise a minimum of £375 in sponsorship. An initial £60 will be paid as a deposit when you register and £160 will be payable on the day of the jump. The rest can be collected later. We should also point out that there is a weight limit for jumpers which is 15 stone. Click here for full details about taking part in a parachute jump and for information about other ways in which you can support TheSite.org.

To celebrate the launch of TheSite.org’s parachute jumps, we’re offering one lucky member the chance to take part in a jump with no cost to them at all – not even a deposit. If you’d like to win this opportunity to jump with the YouthNet team on 25 February 2006 in Cambridge, all you have to do is email your fundraising ideas to helen@thesite.org The person who sends the best ideas on how they’ll raise money will win the opportunity to jump as a part of the YouthNet team, while still being able to contribute any sponsorship money they raise to the cause. If you’re not fortunate enough to win then you are still welcome jump with the YouthNet team providing you can raise the sponsorship − email parachute@youthnet.org if you are interested. Or why not organise your own TheSite.org jump with your mates! Naturally, we’ll keep you updated on how things develop.

We’ll look forward to reading your suggestions, and be in touch about the winner on Friday December 23, 2005 . Oh and check out the link above, as certain fundraising methods, such as chugging, isn’t allowed without a permit.

Good luck! :)

If you would like to book on the YouthNet jump you should email parachute@youthnet.org before we annonce the winner of the comp - but that doesn't mean you can't enter the competition too - remember ideas in an email to helen@thesite.org
