    Yep, the city centre.

I was bored. So I went to Manc with the housemate.
I almost bought a new coffee machine.

There was rain (like usual the wrong side of the pennines) :grump:

See, its not all that bad :p

The nightlife though, ugh. Full of emo kid bars or places you have to dress in your sunday best to get in :p Except for some of the pubs.

Why didn't you buy the new coffee machine?

Manchester city centre is nice. The trams whistle at people :D and Urbis is cool.

Pubs are best. The Bradford nightlife is either pub or something horrible (or go to Leeds)
I like my pints of ale anyway :)

Because I couldn't really justify £40 on it when I already have one.

The Urbis was the focus of my photography coursework last year haha. Never been in but i love seeing it when you first get into the city centre.

Pubs certaintly are the best. There are some fantastic pubs in the city centre. Not had chance to go to Leeds yet, apparently is supposed to be a good place to get a pint or several though.

Gonna nip off to bed anyway, some of us are in full time education and have jobs :p Night mate.

Well then everyone would have to come here to Leicester, Melton Mowbary aka home of revolting pork pies.

:yuck: even when i used to eat pork i couldn't stand them, i mean what the fuck is all that jelly shit all about.

    I second this proposal.

Except I'd have a chicken balti pie from Pie Tom's in Rawson Market in Bradford.

Anyone who eats a Ginster's pie would be beaten with it.

I like the Britain's Defender dodgy old man pub by G-Mex and Broadwater Hall.

Well personally i would call that a cake or a gateaux but still ;):p

I have no idea, but you can buy big ones, little ones, spicey ones etc etc all as equally foul as the next. As i said before they have god dammed jelly in them, which is just wrong.

Did you see that thing?!? It looked like blended then solidified vomit in a pie crust.

Oh, and that was a french silk pie ;) Pie has crust, cake does not... except for cheesecake... thats a weird one.

I think I've seen them in the frozen food isles. But I've never had one nor do I know anybody that actually has...
They show the trailer park people eating them on tv shows though

Pie is good, desert pie though. Meat is supposed to be eaten seperatly, not all mixed together and stuffed in a crust.

    Edit after seeing miffy's post

Oh i'm stuborn with my pies. I'm good ;)

Mmmmmmmmm Pie! Good stake and kidney pie goes down well with me! As does a nice pastie.. (the ones from the tradditonal Cornish pastie shop in Covent garden are lovely!)

Pork pies are rank though! :yuck:

Oh my god, that was the grossest looking thing ever. If you want me to believe I'm missing out, show me something apitizing! I'd be happy to try something if the look of it alone didn't make me feel ill. (and if i ate red meat) And is pudding not a desert thing there either?
