In response to the topic starter. I would really talk to her about things. Sex, especially the first time, is always better when you have spoken before hand and feel comfortable with each other. If you are both open about it and know what the other person expects/wants it will make life easier.

Also follow the advice of taking it slowely, just use foreplay on each other for a while until you are more comfortable.
