What's the deal with the Trinity?!

Isn't Christianity therefore a polytheistic religion?

No. The doctrine of the trinity is that the Father (or Creator, if you prefer), Son and Holy Spirit are all fully one god. It's rather difficult to understand... I guess it's one of those things that makes sense if you believe it but I don't think we can ever understand it in human terms.

well the way i understand it is it comes from old babylonian teachings.
as for the bible ...theres is one god. his boy JC said there were things only his old man knew ...things he didn't know ...as for the holy spirit ...thats supposed to be gods active force.
the trinity was brung in by the catholics.
