Looking at these two stories, do you think that the messages and information coming out through the media are misleading? If so, how do we affect that and how do we address the emotive aspects of breats cancer?

I don't think that they are misleading per se, but the cancer lot have been far more adept at marketing themselves than the heart people have.

Sad but true, its all about marketing illnesses to people.

The problem the heart lot have is that smokers simply will not listen to all the evidence about what they are doing to themselves. When smokers are attacked for polluting non-smokers they bleat on about how "cars are worse" as if that excuses them. Smokers are basically the best at being ostriches, and that is why arguments about heart and lung disease are getting ignored.
