Trainers a tad bit too small

I bought a pair of trainers last week in the sale and they're just a wee bit too small...they fit alright but obviously my feet swell up after wearing them for awhile.
Is there anyway to stretch them?
I googled for answers but all i got was "buy a shoe stretcher". I need a cheap or improvised way to stretch them.
Cheers in advance :thumb:

well aye i know that! But they were in the sale, and a super bargain.
Everytime i try things on in the shops they fit perfectly...when i get home...different story :banghead:
Please Note: No one say "why not buy the next size up :thumb: " Thank you

It's stretched them at the back and sides perfectly...but only a little bit at the front...i'm suspectiong this is because the front is plastic-y :chin:
