Well as you can see by my location, i'm currently in Beijing, China. What i'd like to know is if there's anyway of getting TV channels via the internet, as teh only english channel i have access to currently is CCTVnine, a chinese english news channel. whilst dvds are good, and only 50p, nothing quite the same as just switching on to something english. has anyone got any idea whether it's possible to do this via the internet?

and i think most news channels have a live feed. or theres always radio1 on line for english voices.
this is fantastic for British, American and Australian and European sports, plus general telivision from the UK and States, they do everything from Coronation St to Simpsons and everything in between.
A good WMP site is the p2p service http://www.sopcast.org/ it needs to be downloaded, but pretty good for soccer.
Another WMP site is http://www.asiaplate.com/index.htm this requires a download as well, and again good for soccer.
You will also be able to get ABC Pacific service from here, so if your a Home and Away fan, thats where to find the programme plus Rugby league and Aussie Rules.

Well hopefully you will be ok with the streaming tv sites, from what we get over here, seems like on the surface society is a lot more open and critisism, is almost tolerated.
