question about tight foreskin

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Hey ladys and gents. a few things on me first

I'm 17, and have been sexually active for a couple years, but i'm a virgin. Sexually active as in everything but sex.

Now a couple days for some reason i just started to worry about how tight my foreskin was. if u haven't caught on, i'm uncut. haha. You see, i've been doing things with girls for a couple years now.. nothings been wrong really. When soft, my foreskin goes all the way back no problems, but when i'm erect, the foreskin doesn't automatically go under the head, i have to pull it down, but it doesn't hurt. i can pull it back over the head, but it just sits there, and doesn't go any further down. Is this normal? It doesn't hurt to get it over the head when erect.. i'm just worried that when i put a condom on, the bunch of foreskin under the head will mess things up.

i have a doctors appointment monday for other reasons, should i get this checked out too?

thanks for your help/support

You don't really have anything wrong with you by all accounts.

Everyone is different. You just have a foreskin that may not retract as fully as some other guys but at least you can keep it clean and it doesnt hurt you. If it was completely unretractable in either erect or flaccid state, that may then require medical intervention of some kind.

There is plenty of information on the web (and posted on this site if you do a search) on how to gently stretch your foreskin. The vast majority of tight foreskins can be suitably loosened within a month or so by careful stretching twice daily. Use baby oil, Vaseline intensive care hand and body lotion, Nivea or any bland cream as a lubricant. Pull the foreskin forward away from the body several times then pull it back as far as it will comfortably go and hold it in this stretched position for several minutes. When the gap becomes large enough insert your thumb, or smaller finger if necessary, into the foreskin and grip the glans (the head of the penis) between finger and thumb. Roll the foreskin over the thumb until the tight ring is white with stretching. Hold it in this position as long as you can at a time - say 5 minutes. Repeat as often as you have the time and enthusiasm for. If later you find there is room for two or more fingers then use them. It may also help if you soak your penis in warm water for some minutes before you start to stretch.

Had the same problem years ago mate, and its nothing to worry about. My foreskin was tight, apparently its just some thingthat happens. The main thing to watch for re:condoms, is to ensure that kojaks roll neck sweater is fully back before putting a condom on, because if you then put it in and it goes back the condom will tear - that was my experience with it.

The exercise mentioned by Teagan will help loosen it, but it just depends how tight it is in the first place. I didn't have much success, so I went to see a doctor, and he referred me to the hospital, where I had a procedure called a freneloplasty (they cut your forskin downwards, and then stitch it acrossways, if you understand, to loosen it). It hurts like hell as you have stitches in your old man for days, and if you get even slightly aroused you jump and hit the ceiling!!!!! It did loosen mine a touch, but the problem hasn't fully gone away. Went back 6 weeks later, and the specialist said the next step was a full circumcision. I decided at the time not to go with it as this procedure can be more complex when you're older , something to do with nerve endings and loss of sensitivity etc.

If you're already sexually active, and it doesn't seem to be causing you any problems, I'd just carry on unless its causing you any pain.

About the condoms, i tried one on for same measure, thought i'd prep.. haha

Condom goes on fine, theres the skin under the head... and i've tried masturbation with one on, and while in a condom, on the "upstroke" my foreskin goes back up over the head. is that normal? it didn' seem right to me, i thought in a condom, no foreskin could ever go up on the head. Is anything wrong with that?

    1) Not sure I get what you mean!! 2) Can't belive I'm discussing this with someone I've never met!!!!lol

My problem was then when I got a pearler, my foreskin didn't go back. If I inserted it into my girlfriends vagina the foreskin would then go back due to the pressure from the entry. With a condom on this stretched the condom like mad - usually snapping it, so I had to make sure I pulled my own foreskin back before putting the rubber on!!!

If on your upstroke, your foreskin moves with a condom on this could create the same problem and tear the condom, so be careful! Think that answers your question! If not, could you clarify.

i'll make it simpler. while wearing a condom, should the foreskin ever go over the head? or while in a condom, should the foreskin ALWAYS remain under the head?
