is pure alo-vera good to put on sun burn???
i've got really burnt today by the sun. whats the best thing to put on it???

    i used to use after sun but found the aloe gel to be much much more soothing. you can get it from the chemists and some supermarkets. in ASDA its exceptionally cheap. looks like flourescent snot in a bottle, but works well!

    Niveau aftersuns are the only type I've ever noticed to work, but cost too much. For some reason we've got some hydrating cream (on prescription) which does a good job too.

    This time last year when I was very heavily burnt, I used fresh tomato juice and vitimins E/C, with a hot shower to speed up the process.

    If you've got enough time to lie around covered in yoghurt then I'd say natural yoghurt - it's really soothing - and cheap! I used it when I got sunburnt in Greece and it worked wonders.

    Oh, yeah, and some advice to stop it happening next time! :p

    got proper sun lotion now. :yippe:
    and then the sun goes in and it starts to rain. :(
    spf factors are bloody confusing though.... went with an spf 15 because didn't really know what i was doing. :confused:
    but anyways.....
