What ways to use a pipe?

Ok, so some of you will realise by now that I'm a little new to this smokin' dope thing ... but how does one use a pipe? Do I mix resin or weed with some baccy and just puff away or am I missing something here?

Ok, I start with putting a small pipe gauze (this is to stop any bits of rock falling down the pipe and being sucked down your thoat)in the pipe cup, I then crumble soapblock (as it's cheaper than grass or other resin) till my pipe is filled just under the lip. I then light whilst puffing and smoke, a few extra lights during toking may be required. Anyway that's how I do it..

So you don't put baccy in or anything? And if I use only resin, does it burn okay?

just try and see, the best way to find out is to learn from experience.

rolling baccy in a pipe is really rough and hot so you should use fag baccy (split em open).
