"Wow! I say again... Wow! What an interesting night to say the least, no sex but a great deal about learning about myself and seeing the world in a completely different light. I even ended up at an event dancing my ass off to Fergie!!?!?!?!
So my night then, firstly sorry to yoshi cause I really wish you'd of been there but it doesn't stop my plans for Chemistry. After phoning Chris cause I was really feeling in the mood we ended up making plans to hit a local club and I caught the ferry over there armed with my NOS cracker and other goods. I got picked up just before half eight and we shot down to Lisa's house, shes a lovely girl (who talks and talks) but shes great and I'm really pleased for Chris here, they both seem to get on wonderful and are very happy together. We dashed to her house for her to get ready while me and Chris watched some very interesting film and started on the NOS, aparently I was told I do have a very dark tan (even tho I still think I'm a bit pasty) the verdict was 'bloody hell your like an africain americain'. We then headed to Foodtown, bought some red bull, some mixers and headed to Chris's parents house. We poured out some vodka and stuff, did loads of NOS and I took an acid which started to come on strong and left the house.
I was starting to trip in the taxi, as we drove towards the city the skytower was morfing in between a rocket and a strange looking face and colours were wavy, very beautiful to watch. We arrived at our first club and I was starting to get stronger into my trip, my body shifted between weight and weightlesness and I was seeing the section we were sat down in ripple and breath and the dancefloor down below looked like a cross between water and ice, Chris scared the shite out opening his glowsticks but they just seemed to mesh into the surroundings and we decided to go down and dance.
When I checked these neon light/mirror things I looked into my face and recieved a strange shock, my eyes looked like they were glowing and on fire while the mirror appeared to look like a complete breakdown of space and I toured through this looking like I was a 3rd being half way between a person and afterlife. I started to feel my senses break down and me morf into just a being where everything was the same, I felt the ability to touch/see/hear everything.. I could taste music and boy was it strange! I was staring (while dancing) at this bottle and the logo looked like two snakes morfing and intwinning with each other.
Chris's friends arrived and they told us about the event going on at St. James and then Chris and co decided to blag the remainder of us in. I was pretty well and truly munted now everything was becoming 3d mesh (if anyone has ever seen the TV series 'Tron' then thats a good example) and we caught a taxi down to the event. Somehow by pot luck and quite amazingly we found $100 on the floor and used that to pay for us both (as the others had tickets) and I'm much apriciated!
Next thing I know, we're dancing in a hard house rave and everythings gone fucked, I was honestly quite taken back by this point, so much emotion and feeling rushing into my system all I could do was just sort of stand back and go 'wow', the hard house this guy was bashing out some quality tunes and the visuals next to the DJ box quite amazing really!!! We headed up back to these other seats and I took another acid, which sent me away, I was now so meshed within my world that everything looked morfed together.. quite amazing really. Then on came Fergie, who looked like he'd gained 40 stone and completely fucked it major, what a balls up... he was there with a big J in his mouth and just dropped the crowd from the once height they were at. We stayed around for half his set and then thought 'naaahhh, this guys blown it majorly' and Lisa's suggestion for the night then was:

Chris > 'that should be fun, chillout'
Lisa > '.... and do some NOS'
Me > 'hahaha.. she certainly knows what she wants hey?'
Chris > '.. yeah she just fills in the blanks'

C/Me > 'hahahahahaha'
So we went and bought some NOS, 4 boxes of 10 and headed to Mix bar, chilled back funky house and we sound some sofa's and started on the gas. My world was still competley disorientated and fucked and I had visuals going nuts as we blew up ballons and inhalled. Chris, Lisa and ZM dude decided to head off after about half an hour, I remained with my NOS eventually walking off to buy some more and snapped my bottom tooth (on the inside, needs to be sorted now by a dentist, very sharp) on my NOS cracker trying to tighten it and eventually decided to call it quits in that place and ended back up in bed. My senses were starting to return somewhat to me and at about 5.25am I decided to call it a night and walked back to the ferry and continued with the NOS after meeting some other munters from the island who'd been clubbing too and after it ran out I caught the 06:30 back to Waiheke...
Which takes me up to now, and I'm still pretty munted, but 85% conscious now.. lmao.. I found this interesting paragraph explaining my LSD experience from the-good-drugs-guide:

but 3 questions. were you scared ever? when you see eg. a building turning into a rocket, do you actually believe that's what's happening or do you know it's just a trip? and can you tell by looking at someone that they are tripping (like you can tell if someone has dropped too many pills)?

Scared on Acid? Actually no, its pretty strong on the mind and everything (like your feelings and stuff) merge into one, one minute you could be horny, next lazy and then all of a sudden have rushes of energy.... as for believing, nahhh you know whats real and what isn't, just everything is wavey and well great! As for telling, yeah, your pupils go massive and you feel quite hot, you do look wasted and you can't stop giggling but its funny! Last time for me was at the Brain about 3 weeks ago and I haven't laughed so hard in ages it was great!!!
Other things which settle my mind are the fact that its one of the least toxic chemicals known to man, you can't overdose on it and die, its safer than vitamin C... no-one has ever died from overdose.. <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

I love NOS, you can buy all the canisters in 'hemp stores' and some newsagents/supermarkets in the form of 'whipped cream canisters' and its like $NZ15 for 10 canisters (or hits), you can get crackers and ballons for it too... fill up a ballon and just keep breathing it in and out for as long as you can... its totally mental man!!

Scared on Acid? You can be more scared on acid than you've ever been in your entire life. Yes, you will usually know what's real and what isn't but when you're in that state it doesn't help. The point is that although you know what you are feeling/seeing/thinking isn't real, you can't work out if you are ever going to go back to normal again and things could therefore be stuck like that forever.
Next to address this idea that no one will be able to tell you're tripping. No, you don't have a huge great sign over your head that says 'ACID FREAK HERE' but since you are unable to hold a normal conversation with anyone, keep wondering off, staring randomly at things, I think someone might just be able to guess. Also your eyes will look fucked, your skin will look pale and taught and your may have muscle spasms causing you to move strangely.
Kasander and Justin Credible, I don't doubt that you are trying to give helpful advice but I think perhaps that most of the Acid you get where you are is incredibly watered down because you shouldn't be able to go to school/uni/work while on acid. You sound like you're talking about weak mushroom trips.
The giggling part of an acid trip lasts for only an hr or so at most while you are coming up on it and the visual hallucinations for a few more. After that you have hours and hours of mild melting thinking time trapped in you own head. It's commonly accepted that while you on acid you can be classified as schizophrenic and clinically insane. When done properly, acid is not recreational drug it's a mind changing experience and not something to be taken lightly
It can give you insight and understanding but it can also change you fundamentally forever. As rainbow brite says, if you already have a tendency towards psychosis it may bring that out in you and enhance any mental problems. I know people who have taken acid for years and suffered minimal ill effects and I know other people who were deeply fucked up by their acid experiences. However I don't know anyone who hasn’t had at least 1 bad experience on acid, at least one time when they wished they hadn't done, at least one time when they wondered if they would ever get back to normality again. And most people I know have moments like that during the entire trip. Scary moments, amazing moments, enlightened moments and moments they wished they'd never done in the first place.
Acid can be unbelievable if done in the right conditions. For you first time, do it somewhere you feel safe, where you will not be interrupted. Do it with as few people as possible and make sure they are people you feel secure around. Have a wide choice of music and visual aids for distraction. Remind your self that should anything not feel right, you can change the music, the TV channel or walk out of the room. Never do acid when you are depressed or worried about anything. It will only enhance any negative feeling and this could affect the entire trip. You have to treat yourself like a child at playgroup. Make sure you have lots of toys around to interest and encourage you.
And finally, try and remember that whatever happens it will all wear off in the morning. Everyone thinks it won't and yes, it does feel like that but it will and you can sometimes have more fun talking about the insane night before than you did at the time when your far too fucked to know what's going on. <IMG SRC="confused.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> <IMG SRC="eek.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> <IMG SRC="wink.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
Trust me mate, I know the difference between acid and mushrooms and they are NOT watered down...
... and when the hell did I mention school, uni or work for that matter? Of course you can't bloody go to school or work, jesus christ, I go to clubs on acid most of the time...
I'm giving my opinion and I have been taking acid for several years, I'm stating that I don't get scared, I never said no-one else did, and I did have acid not mushrooms, I'm not stupid...
Part of the reason for me not getting scared is the fact that I am aware that in the morning everything will be fine, which certainly makes me feel better and at peace with myself.

(ooh actually i did go to that link "the good drugs guide" and it was really informative. gave good advice and seemed to be trying to stay as factual as possible. i recommend it to anyone who's thinking along the same lines as i have been. especially reading about K. didn't really know what it was before. sweet mother! sounds insane!)

It's not a competition. I just didn't feel it was fair to let someone go off and experiment with mind altering drugs without giving them the whole picture.
If you've never had a scary or uncomfortable experiance from trips or felt any ill effects, then aren't you well adjusted? But unfortunately the rest of us aren't usually so lucky.
