nose cauterization

Had mine done yesterday and last night I'd just gone to bed when something came out my nose (along with some blood).
Looked sort for grey and was a bit rubbery... just wondered if it's normal cos I wasn't told what to expect afterwards or anything. My nose did feel a lot clearer after it came out, just a bit baffled really

Yep, its fine. I had my nose done a few years ago, and its just the skin thing healing over the nose then coming off. Hope it makes sense.

    Erm.....yeah, basically, its fine.

When you have a troublesome blood vessle in your nose they can burn it off with local anaesthetic to stop nose bleeds. :thumb:

I was told Id have to get it a few years back, I was prone to nose bleeds for some bizarre reason, luckily it never happened...didnt fancy the idea of a flaming splint put up your nose while under no anaesthetic! (that's what I was told anyway)

    :nervous:

Aww bless. It isn't bad. Them shoving the camera up to have a look round was much much worse.
They spray local anaesthetic up your nose. And the stick thing they use isn't on fire... infact I dunno how it works, must be chemical... looks like an insense stick. Just feels like when you need to sneeze and you get that stinging feeling, only a bit worse.

I think I'd better get this done soon, I keep on getting nose bleeds everytime I have a shower or shave.

Is it your GP who does it or do they refer you to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist? Time's a bit of an issue with me because I'm going to Scotland for the summer in a few weeks.

Ahh tits, I should really have organised this better! Cheers for the advice, I'll try asking my GP but methinks I'll have to wait til I'm back in Scotland.
