SkillCity 2005 will be the UK’s largest ever interactive careers event and is taking place between Wednesday 6th and Saturday 9th July 2005. It will attract over 120,000 young people between the ages of 12 and 30 and is completely FREE for anyone to attend.
SkillCity has been designed specifically to allow young people to explore a wide range of vocational areas, training options and job-related skills. It will offer visitors the chance to experience and have a go at lots of skills and pick up information on jobs and careers across a range of sectors from industry specialists who will be at the event.
Exhibitors include NHS, The Army, L’Oreal, The Metropolitan Police and many many more. There are also hundreds of interactive opportunities available. There will be a broadcast studio led by ITV where young people can have a go at operating a TV camera or be a weather forecaster. Choice FM will also be there and potential producers and DJ’s can try their hand at mixing a track.
