Hey folks.
I'm looking for a bunch of people who have seriously given up drugs a while ago, and remained clean, to fill in a questionaire for me. I think I would need a minimum of 6 months to a year of sobriety for you to qualify. (If you went clean for around a year but then returned to drugs, that would be okay too.)
Let me just assure you - none of this is going to published. I am getting a social work degree, and for one of my projects I have to do an assignment on how a major life event can affect somone. I chose the major event of going clean, as it's something I did about two-and-a-half years ago... and it was definately the most major change in my life! (It was hell actually!!) Ye-gods!!
So, anyway, the only place I will be using your answers will be in my assignment, and I will not be using any names. You don't even have to give me your names.
I can e-mail you the questionaire or post it to you if you're willing. (Send me a PM if you feel better about doing it that way.)

And does this only include 'illegal drugs' i.e exlude alcohol and nicotine.

It's quite a good question actually. It would be interesting to find out.
I know I washed when I was a drug user - but not that often!!!
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that a lot of serious coke addicts develop a dislike of water. Maybe. But I really don't know.
It reminds me of days of yore when people used to shout 'Unclean! Unclean!' from their doorways. But I forget who they were shouting at. Lepers? I don't know. Maybe it was druggies!
Anyhoo - I don't think drug-users are dirty. Of that you can rest assured!
