magic weed?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
A mate was talking about this "Magic Weed" he had the other day. He says that his dealer's mate grew some weed in compost that consisted purely of magic mushrooms, and the combination together gives a mad trip. Charges £20 a quarter.

Anyone had this before, and if so is that a good price? Or did he just get conned or what?

£20 a qu seems resonable under any circumstance, especially when u think of production cost of that little excerise

That fact that it's been grown in a base of shrooms dosn't mean the plant inherits the properties of the mushies.

The active ingredient in most mushrooms is called Psilocybin. This is quite an unstable compound that breaks down quite easily with expose to O2. Cannabis plants are completey different than fungi and have no way of manafacturing Psilocybin like mushies do.

There's loads of blags I've come across before when buying drugs. From weed dipped in acid to the price going up for hash 'cos of the war in Afganistan' there's plenty of people out there that'll rip you off given half the chance.

Read Howard Marks new book The howard Marks Book of Dope Stories. He himself dosn't think that the war in Afganistan will make any noticable difference and I'm inclined to believ him with himself being one of the biggest dope smugglers in history. Also if I remember correctly most bud is not imported but grown in this country.

Has anyone read his first book Mr Nice? Quality

Sounds like bollox to me. Most weed is grown in this country these days. More like an excuse to offload loads of soapbar repress shite to gullible customers.

a fairly reliable source tells me that most of u.k's cannabis is grown abroad, but mainly in northern africa. I doubt the war in afghanistan will have any impact on the availabilty of weed, if anything customs are probably too busy monitoring terrorist threats to worry about weed, and besides despite all their previous efforts they have done an awful job of stopping drug importation into the u.k.

afaik, most weed is grown in this country, but all solid is imported.

As Skive says, the active ingredients in weed and 'shrooms are completely different, they're completely different classes of organisms to start with. The active compound in weed is tetrahydrocannibidol (actually a group of compounds, hence the different buzz's off different types of weed if I remember my Uni lectures right) which is manufactured in the leaves and other growing parts of the plant. The fact is that any molecules entering the plant through the root system will be broken down and re-structured into whatever the plant needs. There is absolutely no way that psilocybin would enter the plant or be stored in the leaves/buds in an unaltered state, I imagine it would be fairly toxic to the plant anyway.

The 'shrooms could make excellent fertiliser though, which could account for the weed being good quality, but basically that story is BS.

Anyone else studied any biotech?? I have some ideas I'd like to discuss, PM me if so!!
