attaching images......

how do i attach images to a post so it appears in the post? been messing around for 10 minutes and still can't work it out, must be a bit slow......

    when you go to type a post scroll down a bit and click on the manage attachments options

    though i have had a problem with opera nd other alternative web browsers with the attach function

    i did that, and the picture uploaded fine..........but then how do i put it in the post? spell it out for the simpleton pls.......

    Um, after it's uploaded, you close that window and click "submit post" in the other?

    When you upload your file, just type a message and click submit. The uploaded file will automatically be displayed.

    but that's just it panthro, all you've done is link to a picture, i want to know how to actually display it in the post............i've seen it done..........and you can't just submit post after uploading because the post box is still blank........what am i missing here..?

    You will need to host it on a website and use VB code

    <IMG>URL HERE</IMG>

    Replace the < > with [ ]

    Yes, although it seems weird, having the image appear in the post is linking to it and having a link to display it is attaching...

    If you don't know where to host the image, I recommend www.photobucket.com

    aha tx panthro i suspected you had to host it, i just wanted to link to an existing image on the net for instance, but if that's embedded within a page i suppose there is no way to do that.......tx zalbor for the link, v useful.........
