E as a class B drug?

I'm not sure if this is true but I've heard that the government is deciding to make E as a class B drug rather than class A. I think they should really do so as E is not as dangerous as most other class A such as coke and heroin, E is not that addictive either. So there is no reason why E is class A.

I guess I should put my opinion down...
Have you ever seen someone violent after pilling?
Do you have any idea how scary it can be if they threaten to kill someone over a £5 note???
I'm against E, it's a total fucking waste of time. I know there's only something like 1 in 1000 chance of dying, but that doesn't make it safe.
As for being addictive, anything is addictive if you use it as a form of escaping from your problems (which is likely to happen if laws are relaxed slightly on E), it's hard to stop and fucks people up further because that's how they learn to cope.
I've seen shit happen on E and that's only my opinion from my own experiences, so please don't grill me for it.

~*LIBERTY*~ - In response and no I'm not going to grill you...

Yes, but not usually in the same context and extremities of alcohol. It happens and I'm not making excuses but on a much lower scale.

Almost 1 year to the day ago I was in hospital over a £5 note. I paid a guy, he couldn't deliver, everything kool we went to the bank, nothing there so I said forget it and said we should go back to the club. On the way back I was bottled from behind and beaten unconsious, I didn't even realise till I got back to the club and looked in the mirror, I was head to foot in blood and everyone was panicing but I could feel anything because of the drugs. I turned down the ambulance cause I didn't want to 'waste their time', asked some police for a ride outside later but they would only do the ambulance thing, so I walked over 2 miles to the hospital and only went because I'd been knocked unconsious.

I made the hospital, phoned my parents after 2hrs cause I didn't want them to worry, was seen, diagosed as medium kidney damage (from kicking and no doubt the drugs too) and moderate facial injury. I spent over 4 days in hospital (2 of them practically unconsious) and obviously couldn't go to the police afterwards because of the whole 'drugs thing'. 4 days later I returned clubbing, and saw this guy who'd done it all several times after, I didn't feel like fighting or getting my friends involved cause I wanted a peaceful existance while going out. He apologised at NYE and said I just wanted to put it behind me.

But I still do Ecstasy, I enjoy it and 95% of the time I have good experiences with people around me.

Here I disagree, from my own experiences I think its a very clever and spiritual drug however obviously it gets abused. I'd say its made me a more tolerant and open minded person and I see the world in a different light.

I know there's only something like 1 in 1000 chance of dying, but that doesn't make it safe.

I agree, but then nothing is safe. However if it manufactured safely with proper ingredients instead of back-door cheap shite it would obviously become safer, however this wouldn't happen in a 'Class B' situation.

As for being addictive, anything is addictive if you use it as a form of escaping from your problems (which is likely to happen if laws are relaxed slightly on E)

I'm guilty on this one, I started using it again after stopping while in the army and it was as a method of escape. I'll be honest, I'm probably addicted too, part of my reason for coming to NZ was to try and clean up my act and yet I pine for the UK. I can't go out clubbing really without drugs, I don't like drinking alcohol, I don't like the feeling I get from it or how people act on it.

it's hard to stop and fucks people up further because that's how they learn to cope.

Very true here too, been there tried that, now I'm more trying to moderate my intake. I've seen how it fucks people up, I've had to deal with people who get fucked up or try and commit suicide by overdosing and been violently ill myself. It gets abused and I'm as guilty as most for this. But at the same time I've also seen the good from it, peoples minds opening and gaining some memorable experiences, it does change people.

I agree it shouldn't be a class b, but I don't believe it should deam all who use it as criminals. More money should be spent on safety, education and treatment and if only it could be manufactured legally then we would erase some of the 'dealer'/'criminal' involvements with it which would certainly improve the situation.
