Who Should be The Country's Leader

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
If you could pick anyone in the world to lead the UK - who would you pick?

Could be anyone from any walk of life - like Richard Branson, etc.

I'm going to have a think about this and get back to you guys!!

And it seemed to go down well, I await your vote.

I don't know why but the first person to pop up in my head was Victoria Wood. Aside from me being weird, there probably is some logic to it - she's funny, has common sense, seems to be nice, and I can just see her at the despatch box during Prime Minister's Questions doing stand up!

    VOTE VICTORIA

    for laughs
    not bad jokes

    the REAL alternative comedienne

The world as a whole suffers from an incredible dearth of common sense.

My party "The Good Party Common Sense" will be running at the general election.

I'd like to put myself forward, I'm a kind compassionate person and I've got some good policies I'd like to implement.

Anyone out there going to vote for me?

To be honest I'd be tempted to vote for RK, not because of his policies, but because he stands up for what he believes in despite the ridicule and insults. I quite like that in a leader.

i think a moustache must have mystic evil powers.
it sends out subliminal messages ...obey me or die ...and the people are enslaved by this weapon of mustache destruction.

I'm quite surprised no one has voted for Richard Branson .. he's always been popular in psat elections when people have asked a similar question.

    Hmmm ...

Sir Alan Sugar (anyone watched "The Apprentice"? Best thing on television at the moment IMHO)
Richard Branson (honest and trustworthy guy if ever I saw one, one of the few captains of industry who's got where he is by being "nice")
Jeremy Paxman (just because I want to see him savaged by someone else in an interview for a change)

    Ian.

You obviously don't know RB. He's not the character you see in the media.
