Help out these researchers and get your views about drugs heard on TV.
**************
CHANNEL 4 DOCUMENTARY
Channel 4 is making a one-hour documentary about young people and drugs.
They would like to speak to people aged 17 or younger, about their views and
experiences of drugs.
It will not be an expert-MP-teacher-says kind of programme at all. The
producers of the programme say they are tired of adults telling us what
young people think on TV. Instead they want to make an honest documentary
voiced entirely by young people. It will be open minded and non-judgemental.
The aim is to make a programme that is as far as possible from the
scandalising and scare mongering often found in the media.
Zac Beattie or Fergus O’Brien can be reached in the office on 020 7357 8577
or 020 7357 9411. They will call you back so you’re not paying. Or private
message them.

I was at least 20 before i really started to enjoy recreational drug taking as a distraction from life....
any teens out there that want to experiment with drugs feel free to ask any questions i have tried them all
I see the years of experice and maturity really has payed off. I hope someday when I grow up Ill be as cool as you.
I think it was a fair point, i can't believe how much i have changed between 17 & 20, you can't imagine it, but you do alter mentally a hell of a lot, thats not to say 17 year olds can't appreciate and understand sensible drug use, but i reckon there chances of getting stupid with them are increased
I have been in contact with the tv research people before it was posted here, as i am 20 i couldn't take part however i did e mail them a summary of my opinion on drugs in this country, and in doing so spoke for most of the regulars here i think at least i remembered and included some ofc your arguments. I also got an idea of what they want to do and it sounds great, bout time we had a fair, evaluated, factual programme !
Same here., though some of my mates were doinghem when they were 13 or so.
There are kids as well as adults who still don't know enough about the dangers of drugs. Education especially for the younger users is needed for it might prevent fuck ups they might have in the future. Kids are more likely to listen and remember information when it comes from someone from their own age group.
This is a good thing by the sounds of it.
Oh, and I don't use them as a distraction from life... I use them as an enhancement.
I agree witht he education thing. I am 15 and have been doin pills for a year now. I knew what my friends thought about me takin it so i thought id educate them myself.
In one english lesson we were asked to do a speech on anything that we wanted so i chose to do ecstacy. I gathered all my information off 'thesite' (thanx) and went ahead with it. All the pupils thought it was good that i had explained everythin to them but unfortunately the teacher was unimpressed. never the less, i had said what i wanted to say nad hopefully tought them somethin more than what any video or teacher could tell them about it. although i got a D for it i felt proud of myself for standin up and sayin what nobody else dared to.
lol thats just pure class, shame you didn't get an e for it
