Isnt fish lovely :yum:

I recently discovered smoked mackerel. My god it is nice, wether hot or cold. With or without something else to accompany it.

So point one : Which kind fish, if any do you like?

Point two : What's wrong with smelling something before eating it, i do this all the time because if i dislike the smell of something i generally know i will dislike the food in question, though im not afraid to try something new.

I ask because my dear mother used to get so angry with me smelling something before eating it. heh

Ahem, to answer the question I'm OK with my battered cod and salmon and tuna and scampi, but can't do all that fresh sushi stuff and can't walk past the fresh fish sections in supermarkets :yuck:

Cod, haddock, plaice, rock (although you don't see much of that these days in the chip shops), prawns, scampi, salmon, tuna, hoki, trout, you name it.

Just not things that come in shells. Except the prawns. Oh and crab. :D

Love everything that has been mentioned above, except the rock, hoki as I've never heard of it  haha and never tried trout. Least I don't think I have.

But yeah, I do love my fish as well. So long as the head is cut off, I'll eat any. Had a really bad experience once when I was in italy. I ordered the fish but didn't realise they don't actually cut the bits out that you obviously aren't going to eat. I just couldn't eat it, while it's burnt eye was glaring at me... I felt very uncomfortable at that dinner table... haha

The smell of smoked mackerel is lush, the taste is just to "fishy".
