Should I buy this Laptop TODAY

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Hi people I am 17 and going to college next year,
I want a laptop for up to £1100/€1500,
I want a powerful laptop with good graphics and memory
yet light with a relatively good battery life (would be happy with being able to watch full film)
I am thinking of ordering this laptop today, what do you think?
I would appreciate any help,
thanks

Nice laptop, it will be powerful enough for you I'm sure, not sure about the battery time, but then again are you going to be roaming for a long time. I think it says 4 hours, but I'm not sure. But think about it - if you're on a plane you can plug it in to the radio I think, if you're anywhere else you can plug it into a wall socket, you can plug it into the car socket. Only place where you're buggered is the beach and such and anyone with a laptop on the beach needs help :(

For uni/college it would be fine, if you're watching a film you can have it plugged in. It's got a dual layer dvd burner which as the technology becomes cheaper is going to be fantastic for storing data, whatever that may be.

centrino's are designed to go a long time. I'm not sure about just power saving mode - mine will go for 12 hours or more on power saving mode (but that's almost turned off). Just flick up the lid and away I go.

I would definately recommend you look around though, as long as you've researched into the alternatives you can't go wrong :)
