When you're 40 you will regret having a tattoo saying 'hellfire' in chinese. I guarantee it.

And also, in chinese it's difficult to have one word things, not impossible, but depending on their context the same word can mean lots of different things. So you might know it means hellfire, and it might translate like that, but the first chinese person who looks at it might read 'dishwasher'.

Thing with translating into any other language, especially one not based on the same 'foundation' (as the majority of european languages are based on latin) is that words might not have an actual translation, so you get someone coming up with something to make it sound right. Doesn't mean it's wrong though. Good example is when I wanted to find out my friend Emily's name in Chinese, it's actually two words - Emma and then Lee, because they don't have Emily. Hellfire is quite an unusual word and it's probably not going to translate well.

But ignore me :p if you want it go and get it done.

yer thats right , i always get my friend askin me to translate an english saying or some words , and i always say to them there is no definate translation or actually no way to translate it at all so a different phrase will have to be used.

the world hell fire , hmm i would probally guess there isnt a translation for it , so probally u'll just have a symbol or 2 , which is used in chinese as to describe hell or satan lol or similar

so be careful what u get if ur gonna get it done.
