I have neva been to a club as i am only 15 but i go to raves and partys and stuff.I dont really like doing e if there isnt a fairly large group of otha people with me as i sorta feel like its a waste.
But, I do know a few people who don't go clubbing at all and are quite happy to sit at home on a saturday night and do tablets.
Bit of a waste that, but then again, there are no rules. Apart from the fact that they are illegal <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

I used to be at home and pop em just coz I was bored sometimes (not often but a couple of times) and then Id just lie in bed off my face...find what I used to do very worrying actually lmfao!!
I have only ever done tablets at home twice:
1) Half as a test of a new batch
2) Half of a very speedy tablet. Was a friday night and I was at home working on a programme as a "foreigner" from work that had to be finsihed by saturday. Was totally knackered and knew I had this speedy pill, so had half to keep me awake. lol
Suffice to say, it worked and I finally went to bed at 5am, programme finished <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

Yeah, I started off doing Trips at clubs but its not as good as doing it at home or having half a trip (just to take the edge off <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">) in the pubs.. with a few mates, just howling with laughter at people.. heh
But anyway, Trips aint so good for clubs in that you dance but you don't get that "dance all night" effect as you do feel it when you get knackered.
Don't like the Acid come down too much though, always get a bloody headache. Saying that, not had a trip for about 4 years, can you still get them?

but they expanded from there. i started listening to a lot of new styles.
dope got me listening to more chilled beats and house. -massive attack et al.
now pills and new clubs have got me into techno etc.
when on pills, the beats and the lights are amazing. and a full set by a dj can't be beaten.
saw luke slater last week, on pills, and it was amazin.
ive never done pills in a rock club or anything, but i can't imagine it would be as good - try it with dance music. good dance music; not just crap commercial chart rubbish,. just try it and you might be surprised. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">
the best place 2 take pills is with ya mates at your flat or house with about 10 each a half ounce of weed pleanty of cider mayb some speed or coke and a bangin sound system with plenty of happy hardcore thats the way 2 get of ya head bruva

If we look back into the past, most of clubland was pretty dire (of course I'm not including the Northern Soul period) some of the UK DJs (ie. Danny Rambling) had taken an interest in the Ibizian Rhythamic music and brought some of it back over to the UK, this music of course was fuelled by the drug ecstasy.
Acid House parties often went on throughout the night in unlicensed venues. The parties were therefore not only the birthing ground of the Great British Ecstasy revolution, but also the beginning of a resurgence of DIY culture. Small groups got themselves organised, built up sound systems and arranged parties with no commercial motive. These people where doing it for themselves - providing people with the music they wanted to hear in a place that could stay open for as long as they wanted.
Then as legalisation stepped foward, the parties started becoming more commercial, cheesy smiley faced t-shirts, the music split (hense hardcore/techno/drum&bass) and later the birth of Trance (1997-1999) took the drug to new levels with its euphoric sound. This later followed by Hard House in 1999/2000 and now Hard Trance..
As the dance scene is the fastest growing movement in the past 10 years and with the larger availability of its music through commercial clubs, the drugs have been made more widely available and as history stated in 1987-current its the 'killer dance ecstasy' (and a notorious 78 deaths between 1987-2000), the drug more recently has begun making its way into the hip-hop community and also various other music genres.
I myself came from the hardcore scene which is where I was introduced to the drugs, I guess another reason why people associate pills with dance music against say rock music is to do with the fact its difficult to imagine a group of wide-eyed smiley faced rockers who want to hug everyone at a korn concert... <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

Like Justin I was introduced to ecstasy through the hardcore and jungle scenes. Much of the reason this music remained underground was becuase of the blatent links with ecstasy <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">, speed <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"> and acid <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">.

no, i find it sad that the mentality of people that do drugs and screw up their body is just to do more and that they actually seem well informed about it. usually people well informed on matters that lead to potential death tend to steer clear of it.

Thanks Lolly. I think you realise I don't want to argue. I thought this drug forum was for advice and discussion. I come on here in the hope I can help people with questions. I won't encourage them to do drugs but I won't discourage them either. In the end it's up to them. Once again it seems you are the only person that seems to see my point of view.
