I do have a soft spot for the Italian designers, and I have a couple of items, they were presents for my 18th birthday. Once I have a bit more disposable income and very few responsibilities, I'll treat myself to some goodies.

if my kids ask me to buy them gucci clothes, i will laugh for a long time.

then, when i've recovered, i'll buy them a piggy bank and they can save for it themselves.

it's pretty ugly stuff, anyway. the couture stuff is quite nice, but how many times to i need to go to an awards ceremony, or film premier?

 me too, except if they did manage to get enough to pay for shit like that, id think they were obviously getting too much pocket money and cut it back a bit, or if they had a job and were saving that way id start charging them rent.

How many 13 year olds are into designer stuff? The only thing that I have that is designer is a Dior purse.

Yes, but how many 13 year olds can afford REAL designer clothes or accessories? Very few I'd wager.

And we don't like 'da' on here. Aside from the fact that it's not a real word.

Da is not a shortened phrase. It is urban slang.

    Woah woah woah.

The first 'designer' thing I bought was a Ralph Lauren purse from New York. I was 18 at the time - and I'm only 19 now. Whats the big thing with labels anyway? If it looks good, I buy it. If it costs £2 from Primark, so what?

Also, gucci princess, slang isn't appreciated here. It's not a chatroom, so people don't have to reply to your posts. If they want to, they will.

There's no need to get on the defensive either, calling people 'sad'. Just read the stickys in Introduce Yourself and learn what the boards are about before you start posting.

Edited to say - how fucking nice am I? I remember a time when I would have completely lost my temper at someone like this... :p

I think some of you need to calm down a bit, and give the newbies the chance to get the hang of the boards. Anyone would think gucci_princess had commited a crime the way some of you are carrying on.
