If you live in Birmingham, then Packages by Virgin Records sell 'em. Some clubs sell them, but not very often. The best places are "party shops" you know that sell balloons etc, joke shops, but you don't see many of them around or places like the Gadget Shop, though they don't sell 'em, but you know those places that sell crappy jokey shit. I've paid from £1.50-£2.00 per glowstick. Best sticks are by a company called Snapstick.
My personal opinions are:-

Yellow-Bright but doesn't last too long.
Blue-My fave, but doesn't last at all.
Red-Best to be seen thru dance floor smoke.
Green-Last the longest and quite bright.
Purple-Crap
Pink-Bright, but like blue hardly lasts.

P.S. Best way to hold 'em i've found is, hold stick so little finger and index finger are underneath and middle two fingers are over stick. Then grip round with middle two fingers and tuck thumb in. Nice and secure for pillheads like me!

If you live in and around the Burton/Derby area, Icon Records in Burton sell them. Round about £2.50 I think and like Rubberskin said, there avalible in a range of colours.

Not being funny but if u go into a fishing tackle shop u can get em for like 2 quid for 2 or 3, cos they use em for fishing in the dark hehe
