Weird chain physics

Indrid ColdIndrid Cold Posts: 16,688 Skive's The Limit
I'm wearing a chain with a cross around my neck, and every few hours the chain's hook has reached the cross and makes it move up the side of my neck. Can anyone explain how this happens?
I guess the chain moves around when I turn my head to the side, but wouldn't it move back when I face forward again or when I look to the other side?

I have that too. I think its just the pull of the cross on the chain along with the movements of your head.

Yeah, but why only one way and not both?

Because my neck and shirt are almost the same on both sides, so whatever's pushing the chain one way should push it the other way too?

    almost the same?

so they are not the same, what is so unusual about it happening one way and not the other, heard of chance?

    Shouldn't the chance be 50/50?

why? if they are not the same both sides, might be very little chance of it moving to the other side for some reason
