'A BBC crew working on a drugs documentary caught a Radio 1 DJ on film - negotiating a deal. Brandon Block was filmed in secret ordering a pal to hand over an ecstasy pill for ten euros at a club in Ibiza.
The programme, Drugsland, was screened on BBC2 on Thursday - without anyone having recognised Block, 37. Now Spanish police are to request a copy of the show with a view to possible prosecution. A BBC insider said: "This is a right cock-up. It leaves us with egg all over our faces."
In the film Block appears wide-eyed and distant in the Space club. He calls a friend over to an undercover reporter and says: "Have you got the pill I left? Sell it to him." Then Block negotiates a discount, saying: "Twenty euros? Ten Euros. That’s my man." The DJ - known as Blocko and with the catchphrase "Oi Oi!" - turns back to the BBC man and says: "Give him your money."
He is heard hinting there are more pills - and, ironically, warning about being caught on film.'
