why do i feel so guilty?

i'll look at the news and see staving children and then i feel guilty for feeling fat.

or

i'll watch a program that shows me how fragile life is and how amazing it can be and i feel guilty for feeling in a black hole.

i'm not depressed, i just feel amazingly guilty. why?
