Ok, Ive bene told by a couple of friends they think I have ME, Ive had blood tests, so its not Anemia or Diabetes or anything so its got to be something wrong with me like ME.
I sleep about 10/12 hours a day on average, from 2am onwards. I have no energy to do anything during the day when I am awake. Ive mised the last 2 weeks of college coz I just cant move from tiredness. I get muscle aches, mainly in my back, shoulders and arms. Im sometimes dizzy, I cant concentrate, I get bad headaches that will not go away with pain killers. I get confused easily, my mind no longer works as it should for a health 18 year old. I just feel dead!!!!! And Ive no idea whats wrong with me grrr!! Any ideas? Ive got another docs app. for this week, but Im sure he thinks Im making it up, and that ts a case of burning the candle at both ends, but it isnt.
Thanks

oh this sounds just like i was last year....i had glandular fever. an underactive thyroid & i was depressed.
all of the above can cause this to happen. i would say ask your doctor to test your thyroid level as they rarely do until you go back several times like i did, i felt the same that they thought i was making it up but i wasnt!! i stuck with it & they found out what was wrong in the end.
i mean i like my sleep but theres a big difference, i know how desperate you must feel but dont worry just get your doctor to give you a blood test.
let us know how you get on.
good luck
Thanks anyway

5 years ago i was told by my doc i had glandular fever, ithought that was bad,i was ill for months.I then was told that i had contracted an after virus called M.E. I had no clue what it was but there is alot of info out there which i worth a look.4 years on i still have it, not as severley as other people but it is hard.My doc put me on prozac as he said it may help and it has.Alot of docs dont believe in it so bring up the subject if your doc dont and see what he thinks about it. Your symptoms do sound close tohome but u cannot let it effect you life. istill go out on the piss but i also give my body chance to recover.let us know how it goes.
goodluck.
due to insufficient funding, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.
Im gonna scream.
The octors advice was "get to sleep earlier, wake up earlier, and everything will be fine..." Dohh - how do you just wake up early when your so tired you just flop back to sleep, or how to you get to sleep early when you just lie there in bed wide awake.
Ive been told me another teacher at school that ME is a mental thing, you only have it if you talk yourself into having it. Ive been to school 3 days out of 5 weeks now, and I still feel totally shattered. I went to Ikea last night with family and its knocked the crap out of me today. I just wanna go to sleep and never wake up! Grrrr.

Might make a mini diary of how I feel each day to help them see what I mean.
Thanks
