The report has come out and it does state that his office did indeed speed up the visa for his lovers nanny.
"A letter was sent to Ms Casalme on the 23 April saying the case may not be resolved until January 2004
This letter was shown to Mr Blunkett by Kimberly Quinn, Ms Casalme's employer, on 28 April
But at some point later that week, an official in Mr Blunkett's office did contact the office of the director general of the Immigration and Nationality Directorate in relation to the case"
Apparently he's not sure of the connection between Blunket and the contact with the IND, but there definately was one.
