can someone just tell me what id cards will prevent for the £10 billion itll cost us

    I don't think I'll be given an ID card since I'm a dirty foreigner but if I were I'd take much pleasure using it for racking up lines of charlie.

    In fact I'd advise anyone who is a charlie user to do just that and to put the card to a good use.

    you dirty foriegners will get SPECIAL cards that are sattelite tracked ...it will film your sex life ...watch every penny you spend ...tap your phone and internet connection ...and ...if you aint got it with you and your accent is suspicious ...down to the grilling room!

    I have no problem with ID cards in theory, but I hear they are going to charge money for them. And if you don't pay up you'll get fined. Why can't they find the cash fromgeneral taxation? And no doubt they'll need photos signed on the back by someone in authority who has known you for 2 years or more. That was a damned inconvenience when I wanted photos for my Driving licence, passport and seaman's card.

    ID cards sound like way too much hassle to me. Just think of the forms you'll haver to fill in!:mad:
