ANY1 KNOW ABOUT ANIMAL HEALTH???

I have an adult male hooded rat and recently I've noticed he is squeaking loudly and acting hyper, I haven't noticed any difference in his diet and he is moving around fine.

He especially makes these noises when I'm in the same room as him (he wakes me up at night, grrr) and he usually persists until I take him out, after which he settles down.

I can only think of two reasons for this:
1, it's his mating season
2, he's doing it for attention.

I'd really like some advice on this (I know it's on the health section, but it is my rats health I'm worried about) because I'm worried he may have a respitory disease. On the other hand, I could be rewarding him for bad behaviour...

You can never achieve anything without taking risks!
Beep boop. I'm a bot.
