What do I do ?

I went to bed last night and woke this morning with the same dilema. Do I continue to live on my own, or do I go back to my folks?.

The cons of going back to my parents outwiegh the pros, at least i'll eat properly and ensure correct medication at the correct time. but I loose out on simple liberties such as going to bed and getting up when I want. having a spliff when I want. using the net when I want, or do silly stuff to relese tension.

I'm sure it would make more sense to go home, but I'm not sure i could cope being watched 24/7. I know that I've abused the trust of those close to me, and if I go home will have deserved the constant observation. I'm just totally confused right now. Any ideas ?

The river is wide and oh so deep. I've been walking around in tears, No answers arethere to get. Cause between this world and eternity there is a face I hope to see

    physical and mental freedom has it's own set of pros and cons, but it's somethign ur going to have to face up to eventually, u have to have ur own place sooner or later, but u also dont have to be cut off from ur parents either.

    my sis's go to uni and share flats their, that's where their seperate home addresses are now, but they still come back here and stay for a week or two, or just for the weekend, it dont have to be one place or the other.

    id reccommend staying where u are or flat sharing (u said u were alone didn't u??) anyway good luck on the decision, keep us posted

    I think maybe u should give living at home another go. The most important thing for u is to be taking care of yourself and by eating properly and taking your meds u r doin that, so goin home sounds to me to be a boetter option.
    Im still with my parents, but wont b for long as its not gonna be the best place to have another baby. I cant wait to get out and be on my own two feet, but it does worry me that I wont take care of myslef as much. Oh well, I can only wait and see cant I?
    Anyway getting back to u luka <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/wink.gif">, u no wats best for u so go with whatever u think but if bein at home means u will look after yourself better then I say go for it.

    How about you keep your options open Luk? It looks like your only concern with living with your 'rents is that you will feel confined. This is a big issue, I know that I wouldn't be able to handle that one, people constantly on my back - "have you eaten", "have you taken your meds", "don't you think its time you were going to bed/getting up now", "do you really think you should be spending all that time on the internet", "why don't you try to get out?" - and all that shit.

    But as you say, you will be looked after and I'm sure your parents have your interests at heart.

    Why don't you express your concerns to them, maybe in letter form? Maybe they'd be willing to back off a little with the protectiveness & allow you a lttle more freedom within the family home.

    I have a friend who's parents converted her bedroom into a bedsit, this allowed her to have a transition phase between living within the family & living out in the big wide world. I wish my folks had come up with that idea, I had a dreadful time emotionally when I first left home. (long time ago).

    Independance, but security at the same time. It's worth a thought.

    Whatever you do, make sure that you can get your arse in here m8 <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;

    Do you live close enough to home just to pop round on a regular basis for a meal and moral support, but still basically live at home, and keep your freedom?
